Alex has over 15 years experience in biology and Aquarium management and development. He has extensive knowledge of plants and the required management practices for a healthy environment. His expertise with Florida invasive plants and plant restoration is the backbone of VMD.
Diligent at restoration and growing plants and trees that
are healthy is the goal he has established and performed.
As biologist and aquarist at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa prior to starting VMD, Alex installed and oversaw some of the most exciting and visually enticing exhibits the aquarium has ever shown. “Leafy Sea Dragons” being one of these exhibits, Alex personally went to Tasmania and Australia to collect these exotic specimens and produced a world class exhibit for the Florida Aquarium
Alex has performed major Brazilian Peppertree removal operations in Florida, as well as extensive melaleuca removal and treatment in Tampa, many tree removals and restorations in Tampa and has clients throughout Florida and the islands.
Alex has restored a complete island in Tampa Bay.
